Dear Parents and Students of Upper Elementary,
 
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year at The Montessori Academy!  Please review the documents below and return all forms to the office no later than Friday, August 16th.  We hope that everyone is still having a wonderful summer! It is coming to a close soon and we are looking forward to heading back to the classroom!

Our Phase-In/Orientation week starts Monday, August 19th. That week we will follow a half-day schedule from 8:30-11:30 a.m. The 4th year students and any students that are new to the school come Monday through Thursday that week. This allows for an easier transition to a new environment.  The 5th and 6th year returning students come on Friday morning only that week.  Also, check out the information below about our new Phase-In Camp!

We will have open class visits on Friday, August 16th from 9:00-11:00 a.m. The All Parent Back to School  meeting is on Wednesday, August 21st at 6:00 p.m.  Please plan on attending.  Some of the things that will be covered at the All Parent meeting include:

• Arrival and Dismissal information
• Fresh fruit & vegetable snacks are allowed
• Students should bring a reusable water bottle daily
• Clean, indoor-only gym shoes are needed and will stay at school - these do not have to be new
• Birthdays are celebrated
• Camp Eberhart information

We start our year at Camp Eberhart on Corey Lake in Michigan. This year we will be leaving on Thursday, August 29th and returning on Friday, August 30th. We enjoy this time to bond with the new group of students. It is a fantastic way to begin the school year and helps build community. More information will be made available during phase-in week.
