Runners coming through a starting line

This year’s Fall Frolic 2K/5K Fun Run & Festival at The Montessori Academy Edison Lakes was more than just a beautiful autumn morning of running, laughter, and community. It was a celebration of purpose.

Thanks to the incredible support of our families, friends, sponsors, and volunteers, we welcomed 107 participants, surpassing our goal by nearly 30 percent, and raised over $8,000 in net proceeds to support a cause close to our hearts: the Montessori Early Childhood classroom at the Center for the Homeless.

Every Step Mattered

For the children in this classroom, the journey to school is often marked by instability as families move between temporary shelters, stay with relatives, or face uncertain housing situations. Many have missed key early learning experiences, yet within this Montessori environment, they find calm, consistency, and the joy of discovery.

A Day of Joy and Generosity

From runners crossing the finish line and children painting pumpkins, to families cheering and volunteers handing out medals, Fall Frolic embodied the spirit of community that defines TMA. It was a reminder that when we come together with purpose, every small act, every registration, every donation, and every shared smile creates ripples of impact.

Gratitude and Looking Ahead

We are deeply grateful to everyone who ran, walked, volunteered, sponsored, and supported this event. Your participation ensures that the Montessori classroom at the Center for the Homeless continues to be a beacon of hope, helping children discover their potential and rewrite the trajectory of their lives.

Thank you for being part of something meaningful. We can’t wait to see you again at next year’s Fall Frolic.
