We are thrilled to share some incredible news from The Montessori Academy Edison Lakes Robotics Team, our students have officially qualified for the Indiana Semi-Finals!
This season has been a remarkable journey of curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving. At the most recent competition, our team not only met their goals, they exceeded them:
160 points in the Robot Game, surpassing our original benchmark
21/32 in Innovation, including a perfect 4/4 for their imaginative drone swarm skit
21/32 in Robot Design, with a perfect 4/4 awarded for their clear and strategic improvement plans
Nomination for the Breakthrough Award, recognizing teams with exceptional growth and potential
These accomplishments reflect hours of focus, collaboration, and iterative thinking, skills at the heart of both Montessori education and competitive robotics. We could not be prouder of the dedication shown by every student on the team.

Confident problem-solving
Graceful teamwork
Creative innovation
Persistence through challenge
Our students are learning how to think, iterate, and collaborate, skills that will carry them far beyond this season.
Gratitude for Our Coaches and Community
Huge appreciation goes to Coach Brandy and the families who cheer, drive, support, and celebrate alongside our young engineers. Robotics is truly a team effort on and off the field.
We look forward to sharing more updates as we head toward the semi-finals. Congratulations, team, you’ve earned every bit of this success!
