Grad and Grand

Conference Day at The Montessori Academy Edison Lakes is anything but quiet. While teachers meet with families to discuss student growth and progress, the rest of campus hums with activity, collaboration, and community spirit.

Throughout the building, members of the TMA community rolled up their sleeves to lend a hand. One TMA alum and a grandfather volunteered their time to work on a Windfall project, sanding materials that will become part of our upcoming annual celebration and fundraiser. It was a wonderful reminder that the TMA community truly spans generations.

Meanwhile, our partners from Bradley Company arrived in full force, practically a platoon of technicians, to tackle important facility work across campus. Their team worked on heaters, plumbing, and other behind the scenes systems that keep our school comfortable and running smoothly for students and staff every day. We are incredibly grateful for partners who help care for the spaces where our children learn and grow.

While all of this was happening, the students enjoying All Day Care were having plenty of fun of their own.

Elementary students dove into hands-on STEAM exploration, building and testing LEGO robots. Tables were filled with gears, wheels, laptops, and creative problem solving as students engineered their tiny machines and sent them racing across the floor.

In the gym, our Early Childhood friends were burning off energy and laughter in a colorful bounce house that quickly became the most popular attraction of the afternoon. The joyful squeals echoing through the gym were proof that learning days at TMA always include plenty of play.

And no TMA day would be complete without great food and community hospitality. Our amazing Montessori Parent Association treated the faculty and staff to a delicious lunch featuring a baked potato bar, sandwich bar, soup, and salad. It was a thoughtful gesture that fueled everyone through a full day of conferences and campus activity.

From volunteers and community partners to curious students and supportive parents, Conference Day was a perfect example of what makes TMA special. It was a day filled with teamwork, creativity, generosity, and joy that defines our school community.

At TMA, even a conference day becomes a day of building, playing, creating, and coming together.
