Three people stand under a covered walkway looking out into a school courtyard. Two children in winter jackets hold cameras, while one adjusts a tripod, appearing to prepare for taking photos. An adult in a red jacket stands beside them. The courtyard has picnic tables, patches of snow, and a brick building in the background.

The Montessori AV Club recently created a short, stop-motion animation in celebration of Mother’s Day, bringing together six students from both our junior high and lower elementary classrooms. Lower elementary students led the pre-planning process, developing ideas and mapping out the sequence, while junior high students created the visual assets used, as well as editing the final clip. Throughout the process of planning, building, and capturing each frame, students practiced creative problem-solving, allowing them to create this final product.
