The MPA hosted a great TMA Time Together After Hours at Corndance on Thursday, November 13. It was an evening of delicious food, relaxed conversation, and genuine community connection. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this meaningful time together and to Corndance for donating the room!

Thrilled to share that our Directors of HR, Finance, and Advancement from The Montessori Academy Edison Lakes attended the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS) Annual Conference in Indianapolis (Nov 13-14).
They connected with peers from independent schools, explored sessions on leadership, finance, marketing and communications, compliance, fundraising, and talent development, and returned inspired to strengthen our TMA community.

The upper elementary students have the community responsibility/engagement of collecting and bagging the recycling. They cover the ELA areas in UE and LE, the teachers’ lounge, office, science room, and EC building. They are also training the LE students on how to do this.

While Sr. Sweeney is out on paternity leave, our 6th year student, Ines, who is fluent in Spanish, takes over and leads her peers during Spanish class on Monday mornings.

Our Lower Elementary students dove into the world of soil science on Oct. 15th with a visit from the St. Joseph County Soil & Water Conservation District’s “Wiggling Worms” program.

Upper El had some spookily good fun on Halloween!
