Dear Parents of Students in Toddler Room 4,

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year at The Montessori Academy! We are excited to welcome your child into Room 4 and our Toddler community!  Please review the documents below and return all forms to the office no later than Friday, August 16th.
 
There is much to look forward to in the coming year.  Children are more secure and they acclimate in the best way possible when they have the time to settle into a new environment gradually.  I will be contacting you prior to the beginning of school to arrange a quick home visit to meet in a comfortable environment for your child.  Children will then begin the phase-in process on Monday, August 19th.  Please see the Phase-In Schedule below for your child's personal schedule for the first two weeks.  If your child needs additional phase-in time, we will certainly accommodate. 
  
The children make great transformations as they grow in language, motor and social skills while in our environment.  The child at this age is absorbing everything; the attitudes, the manners, the speech and the social relationships from the adults in his or her environment.  Our goal is to provide a beautiful, peaceful environment, in which grace and courtesy are practiced and the children can further develop their language skills, their ability to relate to others and work toward perfecting their movements.  
 
We hope you will enjoy this journey that you and your child are about to embark on.  In Montessori, if you follow your child’s progress through the year and through the years to come, you will be inspired and amazed at the life unfolding before you.  No one can know the secrets that lie beneath that beautiful face.  But if you observe and are attentive, your child will reveal them to you.
