About the Board
The Board of Trustees has a mission to ensure the vitality and values of The Montessori Academy’s institutional mission for present and future generations of students. They do this by fulfilling the fiduciary and governance responsibilities for the well-being of The Montessori Academy.
The primary work of the Board is to promote the school's mission, vision and values; focus on long range and strategic issues; select, hire and evaluate the Head of School; and be accountable for the School’s financial stability. The Board is not involved in the daily operations of the school.
The composition of the TMA board is representative of the school community and each member possesses professional experience and talent to support the work of the board.
Board meetings are open and all are welcome to attend. The time and dates are posted here and on the website calendar. If there is a topic you would like the Board to discuss, please contact us in advance of the meeting and ask to be added to the agenda. Minutes of each Board meeting are available here on our website for review.
