Dear Parents and Students of Upper Elementary Room 102,
 
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year at The Montessori Academy!  Please review the documents below and return all forms to the office no later than Friday, August 12th.  We hope that everyone is still having a wonderful summer! It is coming to a close soon and we are looking forward to heading back to the classroom.

Our Phase-In/Orientation week starts Monday, August 22nd. That week we will follow a half-day schedule from 8:30-11:30 a.m. The 4th year students and any students that are new to the school come Monday through Thursday that week. This allows for an easier transition to a new environment.  The 5th and 6th year returning students come on Friday morning only that week.

We will have open class visits on Friday, August 19th from 9:00-11:00 a.m. The All Parent Back-to-School  meeting is on Wednesday, August 24th at 6:00 p.m.  Please plan on attending.  Some of the things that will be covered at the All Parent meeting include:

• Arrival and Dismissal information
• Fresh fruit & vegetable snacks are allowed
• Students should bring a reusable water bottle daily
• Clean, indoor-only gym shoes are needed and will stay at school - these do not have to be new
• Birthdays are celebrated
• Camp Eberhart information

We start our year at Camp Eberhart on Corey Lake in Michigan. This year we will be leaving on Thursday, September 1st and returning on Friday, September 2nd. We enjoy this time to bond with the new group of students. It is a fantastic way to begin the school year and helps build community. More information will be made available during phase-in week.
